Sen. Craig Thomas: One down, 48 to go.Last night, Craig Thomas, Wyoming's Senior Senator and a Republican, died of leukaemia.

Noted on-line liberal satirist Markos Huffington, who all but creamed his shorts at the thought of one Bush Administration official succumbing to cancer, was more solemn this time around: "Even though Sen. Thomas loved to rape Iraqi babies and beat gays, he was almost a human being, and for that, his grave should not be defecated upon for at least 24 hours."
Liberal hate of Republicans is nothing new. In a very quickly retracted edition of the New York Times dated April 14th, 1865, columnist Maureen Krugman wrote, "We need a Republican President like Abraham Lincoln needs a hole in his head."
On a related note, the vandal or vandals who struck early 20th Century President Theodore Roosevelt's Oyster Bay home, Sagamore Hill, with graffiti that read, "Bimetallism forever," is or are still at large.
