All right. Honestly, I have no idea who is going to win this thing. But I think it will be close.
Here's my State-by-State break-down:
Alabama: Despite increased black turn-out, Mac in a rout.
Alaska: Tight earlier this year, but Sarah fixed that for us.
Arizona: Ignore the recent tight polls and The One's recent ad blitz. Mac won over 70% of the vote here four years ago. It'll be solid Red. Also, the marriage amendment passes.
Arkansas: Hillary's not running. Go, Johnny, go!
California: As with AZ, ignore Obama's ad buy. Also, I predict Proposition 8, the same-sex "marriage" ban, will pass due to, ironically, pro-Obama blacks. Sadly, Prop 4 may fail, as parental notification initiatives always seem to do poorly here.
Colorado: If it's closer than the polls suggest, then Mac might get this. CO went for Bush by five four years ago, but Obama is doing well with Hispanics. I'm tempted to give this one to Obama, actually, but McCain has hit this one hard. I won't call it, but I'm tempted to say it's O's.
Connecticut: Joe "Ambien" Lieberman is a nice endorser, but sorry, Mac. Obama.
Delaware: With or without Plugs, Obama would take this. Increased black turn-out doesn't hurt him, either.
District of Columbia: Obama. Really.
Florida: I call it for Mac. The demographics here are just too anti-Obama (Cubans, old people, older Jews). Obama's dishonest commercials about McCain slashing Social Security benefits will only do so much. Also, the Obama panic memo from last week gives me hope. A majority supports the same-sex "marriage" ban, but it doesn't hit 60% and fails.
Georgia: Mac. Yes, there's lots of blacks. Doesn't matter. Mac wins it.
Hawai'i: Obama was born here. It already leans Blue. He'll win it.
Idaho: Sarah was born here, but that's the icing on this already conservative cake. Mmm... Cake.
Illinois: Even if Obama weren't a Senator here, the dead vote tends to break Democrat here, so it's a lock for O.
Indiana: Bush won this by 20, and I'll bet you Mac will be back here, too.
Iowa: Written off earlier this year due to Mac ignoring the caucuses and opposing corn ethanol subsidies, Mac, Sarah and O campaigned here in the race's closing days. I still think O will get it, but it will be a lot closer than it should be.
Kansas: Looks like we're not in Obama country any more! Mac crushes.
Kentucky: Let's get mavericky. McCain wins.
Louisiana: Katrina displacement or none, Mac wins.
Maine: The electoral vote is split here. If you win the popular vote, you get three votes, but Mac might win the rural northern district. I'm inclined to think he won't, but it'd be cool seeing the electronic maps on all the news stations mess up if he did.
Maryland: Blacks. Democrats. Obama wins.
Massachusetts: We, for one, welcome our redistributionist overlords! Also, the pro-pot initiative wins, maaaaan.
Michigan: Mac pulled out of here for a reason. Shame. I thought he had a shot. Detroit and their high black population hurts him here. O wins.
Minnesota: I was sceptical of the tightening polls... Then my friend gave me this. Let's not call this one just yet! Hopefully Franken's Senate bid is hurting O here.
Mississippi: Hah! I laugh at your attempts at raising Obama's hopes here! MAC GETS.
Missouri: Regardless of who wins the general, I believe Mac will win here.
Montana: ZOMG! MAC ONLY UP FOUR! RNC SPENDING HERE!!! AHH!!! GAME OVER, MAN!!!
...
SNAP OUT IT. Mac wins here.
Nebraska: Yes, they split their electoral votes. Yes, Obama wanted one. No, he won't get any.
Nevada: Tough call, but methinks Mac wins. Sarah has been campaigning here a lot, and the rural folks here are not too fond of the Blessed One.
New Hampshire: I am curious about this one. I'll bet you it's closer than the polls suggest. Can't call, but remember: They love this guy here, and Hillary won the primary by the hairs on her chinny chin chin.
New Jersey: I think Obama will win it, but my friend who works closely with the State GOP says it's close. If that's true, expect a long-ass night. Remember, Kerry won here by seven.
New Mexico: Despite winning the coveted alien vote, Mac will probably come up short here. Sorry...
North Carolina: Screw the polls. In the words of my friend from Raleigh: "HIS MIDDLE NAME IS HUSSEIN! HE'S GONNA GET ASSASSINATED! THERE'S LIKE THREE KLANS IN NORTH CAROLINA!!!"
North Dakota: It's ours. Bush crushed here. Mac will squish here.
Ohio: Rural voters hate Obama, and Sarah draws record crowds here. Mac will get it.
Oklahoma: Where the corn is as high as the maverick's eye! OK is A-OK for MAC!
Oregon: Obama wins it. They are a totally mail-in vote State, and no-one has campaigned here.
Pennsylvania: PUMAs. Murtha. Obama. I think we can get it. Also, look at this. Kerry barely won. Meanwhile, early exit polls show Obama up just 15. Hmmm...
Rhode Island: Hillary crushed here in the primary, and so will Obama in the general.
South Carolina: Mac and SC have a rocky history, but really... Obama? In South Carolina? Puh-leeze, girl-friend.
South Dakota: They do not like Obama here. They cling to their guns and their religion, and guess what? They cling to the Republican ticket.
Tennessee: RED ALERT! WHOO!!!
Texas: Bush may be out, but McCain is oh-so-in. Holla!
Utah: Unless there is an upswing in pro-abortion, homosexual Mormons, I think we're safe here.
Vermont: Let's not talk about it.
Virginia: Screw the polls. I think Mac is getting it. This doesn't hurt, either.
Washington: Goes Obama. Jerks.
West Virginia: Coally crap! Obama will get smashed!
Wisconsin: Sadly, this won't be as close as the last few elections. It's going for O.
Wyoming: I hear that Cheney fellow is despised here (LOL). Mac gits 'er dun.
Also, I say 58/42 Democrat Senate (technically 56D 42R 2I). I say the House will be about 250D and 185R. Missouri's Governorship switches hands. North Carolina and Washington are too close to call.
