Predictions matter once again!
First off, I apologise for not only not posting as much but also for not putting out any more predictions. FYI, I totally nailed California when I thought about Super Tuesday, but that was the only State I even considered. ANYhoo, let's do this thang.
McCain will win all four Republican primaries by large margins and clinch the GOP nomination. DUH.
I think that this will be a very, very good night for Hillary. The only State I can definitively give to Obama is Vermont, which is the first State to post results tonight (7 P.M. EST). That victory could have a minor impact on voter attitudes in the other States which are still voting, but just a half-hour later, the first Ohio results come in.
Ohio goes to Clinton. Despite the bad weather, she will win by at least five points due to high union membership there.
At 9, Rhode Island will be called for Clinton.
Texas will go to... Clinton. Yep, I think that she will get it in a squeaker, because I don't think Obama will get a majority of Hispanics. But that's the primary.
Obama will probably win the Texas caucuses, and Clinton will likely get less of Texas' delegates overall due to Obama's support in the delegate-heavy Austin area. Polls here also close at 9.
Mike Huckabee has promised to drop out once a Republican candidate gets 1,191 delegates. McCain will get that plus more, and Huckabee will drop out this week, lest he appear to be a sore loser. Or any more of one.
UPDATE AT 7:00: VERMONT GOES FOR OBAMA, MCCAIN
UPDATE AT 7:30: OHIO GOES FOR MCCAIN
UPDATE AT 9:00: RHODE ISLAND AND TEXAS GO FOR MCCAIN; MCCAIN CLINCHES GOP NOMINATION
UPDATE AT 9:09: MIKE HUCKABEE IS DROPPING OUT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE
UPDATE AT 9:20: RHODE ISLAND GOES FOR CLINTON
UPDATE AT 10:55: OHIO GOES FOR CLINTON
UPDATE AT 12:46: TEXAS PRIMARIES GO FOR CLINTON
